Happy Holidays, December 2013 is here and I will start with the proverbial “where did the year go.” It wasn’t but a few weeks ago (or so it feels) that we were celebrating Memorial Day and enjoying the end of summer heat and now we are beginning to bundle up as winter has come early (all be it a SoCal winter…but winter none the less.)
This time of the year is especially gratifying for me all my children come home from school, even if only for a few weeks, we are all together enjoying each other’s company and reminiscing of those Christmases when they were much younger writing letters to Santa Clause.
I do wish you the most sincere thoughts for a wonderful Christmas and/or Hanukkah and all the joy and prosperity for the New Year.
In a special way I would like to Thank and acknowledge Dave Samoska, Rich Greenberg and my son Vito for without their help we could not do what we do, also I want to thank Ryan Valentine our latest addition to our team who has fit in extremely well and definitely knows and enjoys fine cigars, if you have not met him yet come by and say hello to him.
With the utmost humility I thank you for continuing to patronize Smoke N’ Sticks, I hope we have been able to provide a haven and enjoyable place where you can at least for a short time forget things and enjoy a fine cigar and camaraderie.
The plans for 2014 are a little different than in years past. We are looking at some possible changes to the lounge area; I will keep you informed as plans come to fruition. I continue my commitment to bring in great and new cigars at a fair price, continue to host “smoke events” with manufacturers that care about the consumer and listen to our comments and to provide a place that you can call your cigar shop!
Again happy holidays to you all!

A NOT IN EVERY STORE CIGAR
ARTURO FUENTE ANEJO (EXTRA VIEJO)
This year we will once again receive the Fuente Anejo Extra Viejo Cigar. The Fuente name is no stranger to cigar enthusiasts both at the novice and aficionado levels. For generations, the Fuente Family have been producing some of the best tobacco and cigars in the Dominican Republic.
BELOW IS WHAT WE HAD WRITTEN LAST YEAR ON THE ANEJO, STILL HOLDS TRUE TODAY!
So a little background on the Extra Viejo, after the hugely successful launch of their coveted OpusX family of cigars a new idea was born. This idea was for a cigar that uses the very best Dominican filler and binder, but adds a 5-year-old Connecticut maduro wrapper aged in a cognac barrel. This cigar became known as the Fuente Anejo extra Viejo. The Anejo is a full-bodied Dominican cigar with a unique aging process that leaves a very distinct finish and features that dark maduro wrapper. This cigar is typically available only around Fathers Day and/or Christmas.
We are in week 14 of the 2012 NFL regular season and things are really beginning to heat up. Come enjoy friends and cigars for Monday Night Football, and don’t forget we open early (10:00 AM) for the first game on Sunday mornings all the way through the last game in the evening, and of course Thursday nights we are here late whether we have football or not. Come joins us for fun times, great cigars and wonderful camaraderie!
